| Impact Report | Objective #2 Competitive Events - 4-H Rodeo I serve on the NM State 4-H Rodeo Board as Recording Secretary. As a member of the board I work with 4-H rodeos all through the state assisting them in whatever way they need. For the past two years, Union County has not only had their rodeo which is held in June but has also hosted the NM State 4-H Rodeo Finals. 4-H members, leaders and parents volunteered an estimated 1500 hours x $11.00 an hour = $16,500.00 to help produce the Union County 4-H Rodeo and the 4-H Finals. The economic impact to Union County is estimated to be $60,000.00 which in these economic times is amazing. The finals will be held in another county in 2010. |
