| Impact Report | 1st Zuni Kitchen Creations from Food Distribution Grant The first Zuni Kitchen Creations of 5 sessions was offered in April of 2009. 12 Zuni Native American participants completed the 4 classes. The classes were held on April 15, and 22, 2009, May 6, 13, 20, 27, 2009. The first group prepared new recipes from the New Mexico Recipes and the 30 Minute American Diabetes Association Cookbook. They enjoyed cooking and tasting new foods that they are not accustomed to preparing and eating. They received several kitchen items from the Zuni Food Distribution and gained new information on cooking healthy meals. Evaluation was gathered by CES Home Economist and copies were sent to the Zuni Food Distribution and Lourdes Olivas at NMSU. |
