Impact Report | Conducted a food safety presentation for 12 individuals titled “Basics for Handling Food Safely”. The presentation included information on safe steps in food handling, cooking, and storage for the prevention of foodborne illness. 10 participants completed an evaluation of the presentation. 100% of participants completing the evaluation learned the importance of cleanliness in the kitchen, how to keep foods separated in the kitchen to prevent cross-contamination, how to use a food thermometer, and how refrigeration protects foods. In addition, one participant commented that the presentation was “very informative.” |
