| Impact Report | The Agent with the support of Ag and Natural Resource Specialist continue to provide guidance to a sheep producer in Santa Fe County on the economics in developing his feeder lamb operation as well as his slaughter and processing facility. In addition assistance was provided to him in writing a grant proposal to USDA to secure funding for a hide tanning enterprise for the pelts that are harvested at the time of slaughter. In the spring, guidance was also provided to the sheep producer on proper nutrition of lactating ewes to that insure that the ewes produced enough milk in order to minimize lamb death losses. |
