Impact Report | Annually The guadalupe county extension along with Keith Duncan range weed specialist has done experimental demonstrations on three local ranches they are : The Agar ranch The Thompson ranch and the Marez ranch. The need to show local producers how Cholla can be controled and to demonstrate the different types of chemical that can be utilized for permanent removal of Cholla . This is a long term project . We have interacted with the local producers to provide background info and current info on ways to better control cholla .resently the drought has hinder some aspects of the project while increased rains have provided increased growth on other plants. the plant are evaluated every year in July by Keith and my self. |
