Impact Report A total of 667 youth were reached through school enrichment efforts by the 4-H Home Economist in 2007-2008 at San Idelfonso Pueblo, South Mountain Elementary, Turquoise Trail Elementary, and Mariposa Montessori School. Breakdown by curriculum area resulted in a total of 30 youth participating in various lessons from the Germ Detective curriculum and 637 youth participating in various lessons from the Team Nutrition curriculum. The 4-H Home Economist continued the collaborative partnership between Santa Fe County 4-H and the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranch through a week long sewing camp. Eighteen youth and four adults participated in workshops such as Introduction to the Sewing Machine, Practice Stitching, Stitch a Card, and Patchwork Pillow. By the end of the week long camp each participant had completed a patchwork pillow. Seven of the youth participants entered their patchwork pillow in the county fair, one of continued on to win first place at the New Mexico State Fair!
