| Impact Report | Youth around the country work on farms and ranches or have jobs that require outside work. This kind of work can be dangerous as kids work with farm implements, machinery, atv's, ect. Agent collaberated with other agents put on regional wide Farm Safety Day Camp. Agent presented" Lawnmower safety" to over 100 kids in grades 4th and under. Agent presented facts and demonstrated hands on the possible injuries associated with improper use of lawnmowers and improper safety precautions. Students increased their knowledge of lawnmower safety. As a result, our youth can be thinking of how to be safe around the farm, ranch, or rural areas. |
