Impact Report | As a result of visits with an Extension specialist and office staff, the agent was better able to serve all clientele in Chaves County. The agent learned where files were kept so that access to these files would be easy to have. In order to ensure compliance with the Civil Rights policy, the 4-H agent maintains civil rights files and posts a non-discrimination statement on all news releases, monthly newsletters, educational publications, and announcements. The 4-H agent worked closely with office staff to ensure that efforts are being made to meet civil rights requirements. Also, a new set of 4-H advisory committee members was put together by using guidelines set by race, gender, county location, ethnicity, and occupation. The 4-H agent has searched for more opportunities to involve more non-traditional youth in programs. |
