Impact Report Kitchen Creations Cooking School as held in April and May with 15 adults participants and 3 youth. Ten compled all four of the classes. Participants gained knowledge on meal planning and learned to cook foods in different ways. They were given information on reading food labels, how to make good food choices and how to use the 50/50 plate method of planning meals. They also participated in hands on cooking where they learned new preparation and cooking techniques and many tried new foods they had never had before. An evaluation three months after the program showed that 75% of the participatns had adopted at least one new food preparation method and were reading food labels when they purchased their food. 50% of the participants were using the 50/50 method of meal planning.
